Josh Groban If you've never heard Josh sing, you are missing a huge talent.

"Temple Grandin" on HBO This very-well-done movie depicts the life of one of the most famous autistics, who overcame incredible odds to accomplish amazing things. Her work with cattle has revolutionized the meat-producing industry. Claire Danes is stunning, and spot-on. (I am excited because I will be meeting Temple at the IACP annual conference this March, where she is a featured speaker). Whether you even agree that there is such a concept as "humane slaughter," this is a compelling movie that really isn't even about cattle, or meat, or dogs.
Shelter Dogs An HBO documentary (January 27, 2004) that focuses on Sue Sternberg's NY shelter, and her tireless efforts to place homeless animals and educate the public. Makes an important statement about shelter dogs, and it will make you cry, and think.
Less "Arty," but entertaining:
Lap Dance Anyone who has ever owned a cat will relate to this clever animated movie. Make sure the sound on your computer is turned up, and it ain't over until you see "The End." It makes me laugh out loud every time I watch it, which is often.
Funny Cat Site This site is from the UK and is a hoot. Those of you with cats will appreciate it.
Ever Wanted to Own a Malamute? This page will make you think twice...maybe. It's just a good warning for any breed of dog, in my opinion. And if you already have Mals, you'll nod your head in total agreement!
Television Without Pity I don't watch much TV, but when I miss an episode of a favorite show (Tivo? On my salary? You gotta be kidding!), I go to this site to find out what happened.
The Onion Good for a laugh every single day.
The Oatmeal Sometimes odd, but typically humorous
